The Great Awakening

There is an enormous revival coming/here. I have been hearing people say it’s here! It’s here! Yes and no. I think we deeply, deeply underestimate what God wants to do here. I believe this revival is it, the final chance to snatch away from satan those who are unwittingly marching into hell. Those who want to go are a different story. This revival is one driven by pure love. Not the hearts and flowers kind, but the kind dripping in blood from a sacrificed lamb. The kind of blood showered on the mercy seat with great joyous abandon. It is that kind of love/power that is coming to scoop up every soul willing to come. What we have seen so far is the orchestra warming up, we are not even to the overture. One of the Soul Winners said in regard to his tent meetings that he has had to stop preaching because of the deep groaning of the people begging for salvation. He had to actually interrupt his service so they could come to the front and be saved. I know deep in my gut that this is only the start. Entire nations will be hanging heavy with fruit begging to be harvested. I fully expect that even us everyday people will be stopped while going about our lives by people hungry for what they see in us.

There is one problem, I feel like we the Body have been so willing to settle for good enough. Sort of this thought, well that Soul Winner guy on the West coast has had more than 1,000 salvations and that young Latino Pastor on the East coast has had lots of them too so REVIVAL - checkmark! hands dusted off and onward we go. I think that if our hearts are not prepared in advance for the fullness of this last GREAT AWAKENING we will not be ready and the Body will not steward these precious new lambs with the care they deserve because we are overwhelmed and under equipped. If we were really standing in faith wouldn't we be training people by the hundreds to minister to them and show them how to live this life? But if we really believe we are already in the thick of it, then we are doomed to be outgunned and outmanned by an enemy who wants his sheep back. Shoot man, we think we can just show up to the GREAT AWAKENING on "Revival Sunday" and call it good.

So what do we do? Prayers pray fervently for God to send workers, Churches get your people ready to minister to those who may not be normal church folks, everyday people brush off your reasons for being a Christian because people will be asking you why you are different and you need to have something to say. Each of us has a wiring that makes us ideal for this Awakening. You were born for this! If you weren't, you would have been born in a different generation. It's up to us, get prepared and fasten your seatbelts it's going to be a glorious ride!
