The Name

I was listening to Speak the Name by Koryn Hawthorne. Sometimes I am amazed that we can walk around under the weight of the name of Jesus. We say it as if it is as regular as the name Jenny. It’s staggering. We know a name that breaks strongholds. The mention of it heals people, changes atmospheres, things that hold people captive beyond their ability to gain release are broken under the power of that name. It heals people, changes atmospheres, makes the rocks cry out – oh that we had ears to hear rocks cry out. All of creation cries the name and yet we who have understanding walk around as if it is nothing.

Oh that we understood.

Some time when you are in your prayer place whisper the name of Jesus. Feel the name fill your spirit, say it again and the power of the Holy Spirit begins to grow in you, say it again and again and you begin to understand. Speak the Name until it fills your being beyond sickness, beyond bondage, beyond despair. Let it fill you until He is all. Then stay there a while, saturated with the Name and see if the rock moving Name won’t move some things in your life.
